A very interesting Cerrado. The aroma is so familiar that one knows immediately that “it’s from Brazil,” with the predictable cocoa and nut combination. This carries through to the cup, opening up with loads of cocoa leaning toward dark chocolate, with more tree nut (walnut/hazelnut) than peanut. The mouthfeel is full, balanced and with great body and leaves the palate clean and looking forward to the next sip. Where this diverges from the typical Cerrado is absence of the high citrus-lemony tones and the accompanying acidity, which makes this a good candidate for espresso as well as drip. Whole Bean. 250g/8.80z

Walnuts and Dark Chocolate – an unusual bean from this region given it’s lower acidity and ability to take a slightly darker roast. Happy to have this coming in the store this week!
